Question: What is your opinion about Google stock? Good investment or bad?

I am thinking of buying Google stock and am thinking it will go way up in a short time. I am looking at a short-term investment and not long-term.

I have a lot of confidence in Google and in order to buy stock I would have to take out a loan. It takes money to make money. Is this a good idea or not?

Answer: You buy low and sell high, not buy high and lose money. Google stock is much, much too high. It simply isn’t a bargain.

I’m particularily concerned about your comment on taking out a loan to buy stock. Taking out a loan to buy any stock is incredibly risky. What if the price of the stock goes down? How will you repay the loan?

Question: How can I invest in a foreign CD with less than USD $10,000?

It seems like the minimum deposit for a foreign Certificate Of Deposit (CD) with a popular website such as www.everbank.com is $10,000 — in U.S. Dollars. I’ve heard that some banks will allow 10,000 “units” instead? Also, can foreign currency purchases be done online with a TD Ameritrade Account? Any advice (totally unofficial, of course, even if you’re a financial advisor) is appreciated!
